Abstract
The system presented in this paper is intended to be used for adaptive control of temperature in electronic equipments. The novelty of the proposed system is represented by the implementation of the proportional-integrative-derivative (PID) control algorithm in a reconfigurable manner using a circuit based on field-programmable-analog-array (FPAA) technology. For obtaining a better and accurate control, the parameters of the PID controller can be adjusted continuously, during the operation of the system. As result of this approach the temperature in the monitored system can be made to follow an exact diagram of variation. Continuous sensing of the temperature in the monitored equipment is realized with a mesh of integrated sensor (LM35Z) connected to the PID controller through conditioning circuits that are also implemented in FPAA. For the practical realization of the proposed system was used the dynamically reconfigurable FPAA AN221E04 from Anadigm and a development board connected to PC through a serial interface.
