Abstract
We show the design of monitoring devices as an application of our asymmetric optical splitter for optical communication systems. The results of numerical analyses and experimental results show that our proposed optical splitter is applicable to monitoring devices using planar optical circuits, achieving low-loss characteristics. Here in the experiments we fabricate our proposed asymmetric optical splitter using an UV curing method
