Abstract
We describe a novel photonic method for generating wideband RF waveforms with arbitrary amplitude, frequency, and phase modulation. By eliminating the need for electronic DACs, the photonic arbitrary (electronic) waveform generator (PAWG) promises wideband operation in the millimeter wave region and beyond
