  • Abstract
    The aim of the work reported is to design and develop a kind of data acquisition system for pulmonary function based on flow sensor. The hardware design includes the collection of sensor signal, single-chip microcomputer (SCM), flow sensor and their electro circuit schematics. The system employs a flow sensor FS1022CL, which is specially configured for pulmonary function meter, to measure the flow rate, coupled with the SCM AT89S52. Vital capacity data acquired by the flow sensor is transmitted to a software platform, where data processing software runs in order to calculate the volume of a gas. Delphi is used to complete the design of the software platform, in order to realize data analysis and error compensation. Experimental results show that this system could calculate the gas volume, and provide the vital capacity for the pulmonary function meter.
