Abstract
The purpose of this research work is to reveal the effect of the different conditions on the discharge process of SF6-N2-CO2 mixed gas in short gap composed of 50%SF6, 49%N2 and 1%CO2, therefore, the two-dimensional fluid model is established according to different particle transport characteristics including the ionization, drift, diffusion, attachment, detachment and photoionization during the breakdown of the gas-mixtures applied power supply, and also considering accessional fields determined by the space charges existing short gas-gap as breakdown moment, meanwhile, Flux-Corrected Transport method (FCT) is used in the numerical simulation of the whole discharge process, then the significant results under different parameters are achieved and in favor of further study of the discharge mechanism of SF6 alternatives.
