  • Abstract
In this paper, a systematic analysis is applied for the intervals between accidents fatalities in the four divisions of the mines of Great Britain in 1950, and expects that it can have a reference effect to the Colliery accident research of China. This paper includes three parts which are data analysis, distribution analysis and bootstrap analysis. The conclusions are as follows: firstly, the vast majority of the four divisions´ intervals are between 0 to 20 days, and they all have right-skewed distributions. Secondly, the data of the four divisions are disobedient normally distribution but division 2, 3, 4 obey index distribution. Thirdly, the analysis results of bootstrap shows that the population´s mean and variance of division 3 is greater than other divisions. It is the safest divisions of the four, but it still should strengthen its security management.
