Abstract
Different methods are used to graphics and pictures in image reproduction, image processing, and image compression. Graphic picture classification becomes more and more important. Gradients reflect color varies of an image. The paper proposed a graphic picture classification method based on the gradient feature. The classification is executed in CIELAB color space, after the image is converted from the original color space by ICC profile. Tests show the method is effective and quick.
