Abstract
The total-least-squares approach addresses the problem of modeling errors by introducing an error matrix into the least-squares formulation. In the time domain, this matrix is Toeplitz. In the frequency domain, it is Vandermonde, and can be decomposed such that all errors are confined to a single diagonal submatrix
