Abstract
Theoretical studies are carried out for the electromagnetic characteristics of single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) bundle dipole antennas based on the distributed circuit model of a single SWCNT, where the cross section of bundles is in circular geometries. The current distribution is predicted with effects of cross-sectional size of bundle, nanotube length, and operating frequency all taken into account. Further, comparative studies are performed to show the geometry- and frequency-dependent radiation resistances of some typical bundle dipole antennas, which are proved to be better than that of single CNT antenna.
