  • Abstract
    Face recognition has been widely used as identification. Face recognition has been choosen due to its simplicity on implementation and non-invasive characteristic while deliver acceptance result. In Smart Meeting Room System, future meeting management system, this face recognition will be used as speaker identification for automatic transcription. Beside its popularity, face recognition still facing many issue on its accuracy. Popular method, eigenface, still having problem recognize person on varies ambient illumination. This research focus on implement image enhancement on pre-process to equalize image contrast. Using contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization, improvement on face detection rate will be achieved. While local binary pattern, replace eigenface method, is used to increase face identification accuracy, even with small amount face sample on training.
