Abstract
The paper deals with the problems related to power quality in the aircraft electric systems. In particular the analysis of wire-to-wire coupling and atmospheric electricity are presented and discussed together with the typical protection requirements. Then the cable layout in the electric plant of a large aircraft for civil aviation is simulated by means of the well known code EMTP in order to investigate the disturbance propagation in the aircraft power system.
