  • Abstract
    Both electromagnetic properties and applications of metamaterials are highlighted. Discrete complex image method, full wave analysis, and Floquet mode solution are extended into the simulation of metamaterial based structures. Directive millimeter wave microstrip antennas, non-leakage H-guides, as well as multi-band frequency selective surfaces are proposed. Their salient properties and potential applications are demonstrated in this exploration.
