Abstract
The single-input and single-output loop controller using only one sensor is widely applied in the industrial control field. As it is difficult to obtain the precise response of the control using only one sensor, the result cannot satisfy the demand. In the multi-sensors system, one must solve the problem of fusing different uncertainty data. This paper discusses a new design method for the controller in the light of Dempster-Shafer (D-S) evidential theory, and presents an algorithm to define the basic probability assignment by using fuzzy control. Finally, the new controller was applied to the chemical dosage control system in the water treatment industry.
