Abstract
Laser welding devices are capable of welding hard-to-weld alloy sheet materials, resulting in small deformation of structural members, good quality of welding joints, good repetitions, easiness in automated control for flexible and intelligent processing operations, etc. An integrated type laser welding device with 5 degrees of freedom in motion was designed with intelligent control system optimal design; free movements in three directions, i.e. X, Y and Z, rotations around axis Z and inclination along ±180° direction in the X-Y plane are all available in order to solve difficulties in adjustments in technological parameters and low level of automation of the traditional laser welding equipment. Simulations and tests show that this device can meet the designing requirements.
