Abstract
Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) Ladar features in high range resolution, small range ambiguity and is capable of acquiring high resolution 3D image. When detecting a moving target, , FMCW Ladar could achieve the target´s range and speed information by using Range-Doppler decoupling method, and image the target field in 4D style. This paper describes the principle of FMCW Ladar, analyzes the shortage of traditional Range-Doppler decoupling method, and presents an improved Range-Doppler decoupling method which is based on velocity compensation. Simulation results have shown that the new method could effectively extend no fuzzy speed of FMCW Ladar, and achieve high precision of target range and speed at the same time.
