  • Abstract
    The embedding of transfer function F(z) as a partial transfer in an orthogonal filter so that the resulting realization of F(z) is specified as τF=[AF BF; C F DF] is investigated. The necessary and sufficient conditions and a minimum size solution are given. The special case of embedding principal axis realizations is considered. Some new properties concerning the matrix norms or principal axis realizations are derived
