Abstract
A new concept is described which facilitates assembling microwave components without connectors and flanges. The new approach which is particularly well suited for millimeter waves is based on a modified H-guide. It allows interconnecting circuits by simply placing them in a row close to each other like domino pieces. The basic concept, the modified H-guide, fields and waves at a junction and domino components are described. Component-design data and a comparative assessment of the characteristics of domino circuits are presented.
