Seek control of hard disk drives using reference governor under input saturation

In this paper, we propose to combine the reference governor with outer feedback and model following control method to achieve a good response for seek control of hard disk drive. Through using the reference governor, the constraint condition can be satisfied. By applying the outer feedback, we get a good response. Moreover, we use model following control scheme in order to control the real hare disk drive, and we examine the effectiveness of the proposing method by the simulation for the benchmark problem.
