Abstract
Free Floating Wave Energy Converter (FFWEC) is a Wave energy extraction device patented (US patent No: 7823380B2) by Gp. Capt. S.M Ghouse. Feasibility studies on the device was undertaken by Department of Ocean Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. A FFWEC model was designed and fabricated and was subjected to experimental analysis. The results of the experimental study are presented with discussions.
