Abstract
The paper analyses the characteristics of power load in steel enterprise such as the high capacity load and irregularity of active and reactive powers which change constantly following the change of time and condition of manufacture, etc. A satisfactory short term load forecasting is obtained by using BP neural networks through a calculated example of a steel enterprise.
