Abstract
This paper discusses the error correction in all existing communication networks which is done on a link-by-link approach. We define a network coding and a distributed error correction in a network is considered when a source message is transmitted to a set of receiving nodes on a network. Network generalizations of the Hamming bound and Gilbert-Varshamov bound are obtained.
