Abstract
This paper describes a method for the solution of eigenvalue problems with boundary element method (BEM). The vector boundary integral equation is first presented for the 3-D electromagnetic problems. Then the eigenvalue equation is derived. To compute the eigenvalue, constant elements are adopted in the process of discretizing the boundary of the cavity. Computer programs are designed and the results agree well with the analytical solutions, which shows the validity of this method.
