Abstract
A unique medium voltage cable termination system has been developed using a metal-oxide suspended in a mastic matrix for the stress control. This advanced stress control technology led to a design concept, which pushes the state-of-the-art for pre-engineered cable accessories to a level, where the electrical performance improved and the installation procedure was simplified. It resulted in a new generation of termination design concepts, material characteristics and applications. This new system is designed for indoor and outdoor energy cable applications for voltages up to 35 kV using elastomer and heat-shrink termination technology
