Abstract
In this paper an exergetic optimization of flat plate solar collector is developed to determine the optimal performance and design parameters. A detailed energy and exergy analysis is carried out for evaluating the energy and exergy efficiency, and the exergy losses fluxes under given operating conditions. In this analysis, the following operating parameters are considered as variables: absorber temperature and inlet fluid temperature. The most important result is that there is an optimum value of the absorber temperature for which the exergy delivery is maximum.
