Abstract
A satellite network control system (SNC) for SS (satellite-switched)-TDMA is proposed. The SNC manages transponders, Earth stations and the onboard satellite switch to efficiently assign satellite channels. Call processing capability is enhanced in order to fully utilize the advantages of the multibeam system. The SNC controls onboard satellite switch on a call by call basis to utilize satellite channels efficiently. The paper presents an SNC hardware configuration and a connection sequence for multibeam satellite communications
