Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. Summary form only given. Calabazas Creek Research, Inc is funded by the US Department of Energy (DOE), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the US Air Force (USAF) to investigate applications for micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) and field emission array (FEA) cathodes for vacuum electron devices. These include high power klystrons, traveling wave tubes (TWT´s), and backward wave oscillators (BWOs). This presentation will describe how new advances in MEMS and FEA technology are enabling development of a new generation of RF devices.
