Abstract
In this paper, we propose a simple dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) algorithm that improves EPON´s performance and introduce the analytic model of our proposed algorithm and prove theoretically our algorithm to be asymptotically stable as well as through simulation results. Simulation results also show our proposed bandwidth allocation algorithm provides higher bandwidth efficiency and lower queuing delay of ONU than other conventional allocation algorithms in EPON.
