Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. The Proton Engineering Frontier Project (PEFP) radiofrequency quadrupole (RFQ) has RF power input of 0.5 MW and proton beam output current of 20 mA at 3 MeV The RFQ utilizes two ridge-loaded waveguides to couple the RF power to the cavity The design of ridge-loaded waveguide has been optimized for the shorter length, and smaller end section gap size, and cold model is being fabricated.
