  • Abstract
For a partially controlled system, the partial disturbance gain and partial reference gain are useful tools to select the uncontrolled outputs. However, traditionally these tools have to be calculated scheme-by-scheme and lead to a combinatorial problem for measurement selection. To avoid this type of problem, new plant-oriented expressions are derived for these measures. After analyzing both the fully and partially controlled systems, it is shown that the control errors of these two systems are linked by the output effectiveness measure; another useful measurement selection tool. The HDA case study presented shows that the new measures provide efficient tools for measurement selection for partially controlled systems
