  • Abstract
Ad hoc wireless networks are infrastructure-less networks that can exist in hostile environments under stringent conditions. Network nodes move in different directions making routing a challenging task. Recent works have proposed many routing protocols answering the problems of mobility, congestion control, route maintenance, optimal power utilization and security. However a high performance on-demand routing protocol is needed to guarantee fixed bandwidth on certain links in a MANET for bandwidth demanding applications such as streaming video and audio applications. The popular ad-hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) and dynamic source routing (DSR) protocols rely on route discovery to find an optimal path, however these do not guarantee a high performance on a particular route. This paper presents a secure method of guarantying a fixed bandwidth for a limited duration in mobile ad hoc wireless networks
