Abstract
The Tokamak de Varennes has operated for 18 mo with some 4000 full power toroidal field coil pulses of up to 6-s duration. The tokamak is presently being retrofitted with a set of eight poloidal field coils located in the vacuum vessel. The performance of the toroidal-field-coil joints located at the upper interior corner of the coils and experience gained during their recent disassembly are discussed in detail
