Abstract
As described in this paper, radiation characteristics of an open ended parallel plate waveguide radiator with a ferrite plug loaded in the radiating end are analyzed using a mode-matching-method-of-moments technique. Results show theoretically how the characteristics can be tuned and the radiation beam scanning property can be controlled by varying the DC magnetic field applied to the ferrite.
