Abstract
A novel component provides simultaneous DPSK-to-IM conversion of the 100 GHz-spaced WDM channels and strongly reduces the need for dispersion compensation. We exploit it in a 16 times 10 Gbit/s transmission over 240 km G.652 fiber with no dispersion compensation
