  • Abstract
    This paper investigates electrical to optical (E/O) up-conversion in the 40-GHz-band of an impulse-radio ultra wide band (IR-UWB) signal modulating a RF sub-carrier at 4 GHz. The performances of the system in terms of conversion loss (CL) are demonstrated. The wide bandwidth operation for this up-conversion of UWB signals at 40 GHz is successfully shown experimentally and validated by models.
