Abstract
A method for representing the electromagnetic emissions from a printed circuit board (PCB) using an equivalent magnetic dipole model is described. The equivalent dipoles are deduced from planar magnetic near-field scans. The near and far fields are calculated from the model using the Method of Moment (MoM). Under certain modeling approximations, the model is able to predict emissions in all the regions of space for a PCB with a finite ground plane.
