Abstract
Mission10X is an initiative of Wipro Technologies, INDIA, to empower the faculty of engineering colleges, with innovative pedagogic approaches, which in turn can help them to enhance the employability skills of their graduating engineering students. Active learning, wherein the learners are involved in and engaged with the content to be studied is imperative for such an enhanced teaching-learning process. In this context, the role of the teacher changes to that of a `facilitator´, wherein he/she facilitates the process by which the learner acquires knowledge. Facilitation skills hence become the crucial aspect in the active learning paradigm. This paper brings out the key elements of such a facilitation process, specifically in the context of engineering education. The discussions presented here are a result of study and observations through several Mission10X workshops conducted in different engineering colleges across INDIA.
