    The course, called <; Waste Disposal Equipment Design >, is the integrated mechanical technology foundation course of environmental engineering. Considered the student characteristics in the university, the teaching contents and ways of the course are discussed in this paper. The standardized design for waste disposal equipment and the demand for practicability are focused. The concept of standardized and serial design should be established. CAI is accepted as the teaching mode. From special to general, the basic concepts and theories are gradually introduced with the introduction of engineering examples.
