Abstract
In order to suppress the subtle influence from the shared communication medium and satisfy the need of the load balance for ad hoc networks, a multi-paths routing solution based on SR-MPOLSR (source routing -multi-paths optimized link state routing) and MAC (medium access control) load information is proposed in this paper. This solution takes the packet number waiting for transmission in MAC layer as the main reference of the network load, modifies the HELLO and TC (topology control) packet formats to carry the information for the congestion evaluation, and uses the multi-paths mechanism based on SR-MPOLSR to route user data. Experimental results show the proposed solution can archive better throughput than the classical OLSR protocol and reduce the network load effectively.
