Abstract
To make a robot that is as intelligent as human beings, we have been developing a robot that can perform tasks of developmental scales. In this study, we focus on a task called U19 of the Revised Kyoto Scale of Psychological Development. In this task, the robot is required to gaze at a moving object by moving its eyes and head. We have built a 7 d.o.f. robot that can perform this task. Using the method by Hanes et al. (2006), the robot is able to move its eyes and head in a way that is similar to human beings.
