Abstract
We have implemented the backbone node which is a powerful embedded board equipped with several 802.11 radios, one Zigbee transceiver (the sink of the sensor network) and one Ethernet port. We have verified the system functionalities on our testbed including several long-distance (20Km) links in a wetland nature reserve in China.
