Abstract
This paper describes an approach and support tool for the modeling and analysis of proposed reconfigurations to complex systems. The configuration models used are quick to construct and can help to promote understanding by the various stakeholders involved in system development and evolution. These models also form the basis of automated analysis, the results of which can help us to understand the full social and technical implications of the proposed changes to a system.
