Abstract
Field-excited electron emission from ferroelectric copolymer thin film PVDF-TrFE was reported. Electron emission of the films with ~3mum thick prepared by spin-coating method was measured using continuous excitation voltage pulses with different frequencies at room temperature. The results showed that these PVDF-TrFE thin films had an expected electron emission ability with emission current range from 0.08 to 1.2 muA, and clear and stable emission images were obtained. It is found that amorphous phase in the films play an important role to influence significantly the emission property of PVDF-TrFE film
