  • Abstract
    In this paper, a [NiFeCo/Cu] multilayer type giant magnetoresistive (GMR) element with the shape of a multi-arc is used. This GMR element has an omni-directional magnetic sensitivity in plane (x-y plane). Magnetic field from all directions in plane can be detected with equal sensitivity using this GMR line sensor. In the leakage flux magnetic testing, this sensor can visualize simultaneously a shape of the defect by single scanning.
