  • Abstract
Organizational culture has been widely studied in management research during the past 30 years. Most culture and effectiveness researchers have employed numerous qualitative and quantitative approaches on proving that organizational culture variables can predict effectiveness or cultural variables can indicate effectiveness. Yet, few of them have done anything to construct an evaluation index system and evaluation model to evaluate effectiveness of organizational culture. Based on The Denison Organizational Culture Survey and fuzzy sets theory, this paper first constructs one complete, scientific and practical evaluation index system of the effectiveness of organizational culture, then the quantified evaluation model based on the fuzzy sets is developed. In order to test the effectiveness of the evaluation model, one joint venture in China has been chosen as an example to apply this evaluation model to evaluating its culture and effectiveness. The final results prove the evaluation model is applicable and valuable.
