Abstract
Developing new methods to detect different electro-kinetic responses causing by biochemical differences was great scientific interest in the field of biophysics. An efficient method here was developed by using an electrokinetic system based on negative dielectrophoretic force (nDEP force) positioning and electrorotation (ROT). Electrokinetic responses of autotrophic and heterotrophic micro-algal cells with different biochemical components showed great differences in dielectric properties. It was suggested that electrokinetic measurements could be used to reflect the biochemical differences of biological particles including algal cells
