  • Abstract
    Kyushu Electric Power Co. has been carrying out research into a microgrid systems for small isolated islands, which is characterized by combining internal combustion power, renewable energy, and batteries, to investigate the effects on CO2 emission reduction and fuel cost reduction. Through numerical simulation and basic performance testing, it has been confirmed that the issues to resolve for stable operation will be solved by applying our proposed microgrid systems. Now, long-term field testing is in its early stages.
