  • Abstract
The essence of condition-based maintenance is to take different maintenance measures for different power equipment. The key of this kind of practice is to trace the technique condition of all equipment consecutively. Networked management information system is one of the premises for the effective remote management of technique conditions for kinds of power equipment allover a certain district. Here, the remote management includes the collection, transmission, storage, and processing of data that contains information of technique status. With the aid of MIS, testing personnel in the field could perform analysis and synthetic assessment for the equipment, utilizing the information provided by the management information system. Tendency analysis is emphasized, as trend evolution is more sensitive and indicative than threshold only. The power system is an integral entity, which comprises kinds of power equipment. Maintenance management of the power system will not be limited to equipment maintenance only, which lays its emphasis on the diagnosis of technique condition for a certain suspected equipment. Furthermore, multi-level optimism of power system management should be considered, in which the relations between equipment are focused. The integration of real-time status information of power equipment will make the optimized operation of power networks possible
