Abstract
This paper presents a new space-vector based hysteresis current control (SV-HCC) applied on a three-level voltage source inverter (VSI). The last supplies the rotor winding of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). The proposed control technique is used to control the power flow into the utility by controlling the rotor currents of the DFIG. It is based firstly on the detection of area and sector in which the error vector tip can be located. And then to apply an appropriate voltage vector among the 21 voltage vectors of the three-level VSI to push the error vector towards hysteresis boundaries.
