Abstract
This paper discusses the interaction between fuel cells (FC) and converters as a cause of great concern among power electronics designers. It is shown that internal surges due to such interaction may be decisive for new design of powerful converters for distribution systems As the number of such converters has increased a lot in the last few years the fuel cell generation systems are steadily calling attention by operational problems related to their high efficiency, low aggression to the environment, fossil fuel alternative and durability.
