Abstract
Attention is focused on improvement in the model based automatic target recognition techniques applied to microwave information bases. While the techniques may have broad applicability, the authors intend to concentrate on new algorithms to improve detection, information preprocessing, image segmentation invariant feature identification, model based phenomenology calculations and finally approaches to model/measured data matching. The approach focuses on the use of novel wavelet processing algorithms, development of high fidelity model phenomenology calculations, generation of realistic laboratory microwave measurements for use in model and algorithm development and test and evaluation of techniques on real world data sets
